Introduction
Applications are invited by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs XIV) to recruit Group "A"-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group "B"-Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Candidates can apply for Office Assistants (Multipurpose) and also for Officer posts, but only one post in the officer's cadre (Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale III). Separate applications and fees are required for each post.
The selection process involves online examinations (Preliminary and Main/Single) and interviews (for Officer posts). The validity of CRP for RRBs- XIV will expire one year after the date of Provisional Allotment or until a fresh provisional allotment, whichever is earlier.

Participating Regional Rural Banks (RRBs)
The recruitment is for various Regional Rural Banks across India. Annexure-I (page 40) provides a detailed list of participating RRBs, including their head offices and desired local language proficiency requirements for different states/UTs.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be:
- a Citizen of India or
- a subject of Nepal or
- a subject of Bhutan or
- a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age (as on 01.09.2025)
- For Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years (born not earlier than 02.09.1997 and not later than 01.09.2007).
- For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 years and Below 30 years (born not earlier than 02.09.1995 and not later than 01.09.2007).
- For Officer Scale-II (Manager): Above 21 years and Below 32 years (born not earlier than 02.09.1993 and not later than 01.09.2004).
- For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years and Below 40 years (born not earlier than 02.09.1985 and not later than 01.09.2004).
Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories:
- Scheduled Caste (SC) /Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 years
- Other Backward Classes (OBC - Non-creamy layer): 3 years
- Persons With Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex-Servicemen (ESM)/ (DESM): For Office Assistants (Multipurpose) - actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years; for Officers - 5 years.
- Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried (only for Office Assistants (Multipurpose)): Age concession up to 35 years for General/EWS, up to 38 years for OBC and up to 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
Reservation is applicable as per "The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016". Benchmark disability means a person with not less than 40% of a specified disability. Categories include Visual Impairment (VI), Hearing Impaired (HI), Orthopedically Challenged/ Locomotor Disability (OC/LD), Intellectual Disability (ID), and Multiple Disabilities. Guidelines for using a scribe are provided, including eligibility criteria for scribes and conditions for compensatory time.
Educational Qualifications & Post Qualification Experience (as on 21.09.2025)
- Office Assistants (Multipurpose):
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent.
- Proficiency in local language (essential).
- Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer.
- Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent.
- Preference for degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy.
- Proficiency in local language (essential).
- Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer.
- Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager):
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
- Preference for degrees in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
- Experience: Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
- Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager):
- Information Technology Officer: Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience: One year in the relevant field.
- Chartered Accountant: Certified Associate from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Experience: One year as a Chartered Accountant.
- Law Officer: Degree in Law or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience: Two years as an advocate or Law Officer in Banks/Financial Institutions.
- Treasury Manager: Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance. Experience: One year in the relevant field.
- Marketing Officer: MBA in Marketing. Experience: One year in the relevant field.
- Agricultural Officer: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience: Two years in the relevant field.
- Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager):
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Preference for degrees in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.
All educational qualifications must be from a University/Institution/Board recognized by the Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies, and results must be declared on or before 21.09.2025.
Credit History
Candidates must maintain a healthy credit history at the time of joining. A minimum credit score will be as per the policy of participating RRBs. This is not a pre-condition to apply.

Candidates will indicate their Version of Tests (Medium of Examination) in the Online Application.
Penalty for Wrong Answers
For each wrong answer in Objective Tests, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty. There is no penalty for unattempted questions.
Cutoff Score
- Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Candidates must obtain a minimum score in each test of the Online Main examination to be considered for provisional allotment.
- Officers Scale I, II & III: Candidates must obtain a minimum score in each test of the Online Main/Single Examination to be considered for shortlisting for interview.
Merely passing individual tests is not sufficient; a sufficiently high total score is required for shortlisting.
Examination Centres
Examinations will be held online at various venues in different centres across India. A tentative list is available in Annexure II (pages 50-51). No request for a change of Centre of Examination shall be entertained. IBPS reserves the right to cancel/add centres and allot candidates to any centre, even outside the opted State/UT.
Pre-Examination Training (PET)
PET may be arranged in Online Mode for a limited number of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes/ Minority Communities/Ex-Servicemen/ Persons with Benchmark Disabilities for Office Assistants and for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes/ Minority Communities for Officer Scale-I. Eligible candidates wishing to avail PET should fill the relevant column in the online application.
Interview (Applicable Only for Officer Posts - Scale I, II and III)
Candidates shortlisted from the Online Main/Single examination will be called for an Interview, coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with assistance from NABARD and IBPS.
- Total marks for Interview: 100.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates).
- Relative weightage (ratio) of Online Examination and Interview: 80:20.
- Interview score will not be disclosed if a candidate fails to secure minimum qualifying marks or is otherwise barred.
- Candidates must qualify both in the Online Examination (Main / Single) and Common Interview for provisional allotment.
Provisional Allotment
Provisional allotment will be based on the candidate's performance in the Online Main/Single examination and interview (for officers) or Main examination (for office assistants) and actual vacancies reported by RRBs, keeping in view merit and government guidelines on reservation.
Identity Verification
Documents to be produced at the exam venue:
- Call letter (authenticated/stamped by exam centre staff for preliminary, to be retained; collected for main/single).
- Photo Identity Proof (original and photocopy) with name identical to online application.
- One additional photograph (same as pasted on call letter).
- Scribe form (if applicable).
Biometric data (left thumb impression) will be captured. Possessing a valid Aadhaar card for the CRP process is advised, as IBPS/RRBs may conduct Online Aadhaar verification.
How to Apply
Candidates must apply online through the official IBPS website www.ibps.in from 01.09.2025 to 21.09.2025. No other mode of application will be accepted.
- Go to www.ibps.in, click on "CRP for RRBs", then select the appropriate option for Officers or Office Assistants.
- Click on "CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION" to register. A provisional registration number and password will be generated.
- Upload photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and specified certificates as per guidelines (Annexure III, pages 52-54).
- Payment of fees/intimation charges is online. Take a printout of the e-receipt and application form.
- Important: Once the "COMPLETE REGISTRATION" button is clicked, no changes can be made to the online application form. However, an 'Edit Window' will be provided after the closing date (2-3 days) for corrections/modifications. Certain fields like Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, State/UT, Post, Nationality cannot be edited. Category can be changed once during the edit window, with applicable fees.
General Instructions
- Candidates must invariably produce all requisite documents (valid call letter, photo-identity proof, etc.) at each stage of the preliminary/main/single examination and interview/joining.
- Candidates are advised to apply for only one post (Scale-I, II, or III) in the Officers' cadre. Applications for more than one Officer post will be summarily rejected.
- Candidates must ensure they fulfil the eligibility and other norms mentioned in this notification.
- Scribes must not be candidates for CRP RRBs XIV and can only serve one candidate.
- Any incorrect/false information, suppression of material facts, or non-fulfilment of eligibility norms will lead to rejection of application/candidature/termination of service at any stage.
- Candidates are advised to regularly visit www.ibps.in for updates.
Items Not Allowed Inside the Examination Centre
Candidates are prohibited from bringing various items, including electronic devices, communication devices, metallic items, eatables (opened or packed), watches/wristwatches, and any item that could facilitate unfair means. Infringement will lead to cancellation of candidature and disciplinary action.
Action Against Candidates Found Guilty of Misconduct/Use of Unfair Means
Strict actions, including disqualification, criminal prosecution, debarment from future IBPS examinations, and termination of service (if already joined), will be taken against candidates found using unfair means or involved in misconduct. This includes impersonation, procuring impersonation, misbehaving, disclosing/publishing/transmitting test contents, using irregular means, obtaining support by unfair means, carrying communication devices, obstructing examination, taking snapshots/videos, furnishing false/tampered information.
"The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024"
The Act aims to effectively and legally deter persons, organized groups, or institutions that indulge in various unfair means impacting public examination systems for monetary or wrongful gains. All offenses under the Act shall be cognizable, non-bailable, and non-compoundable. Unfair means include leakage of question paper, collusion, unauthorized access to question paper/answer key, providing solutions, tampering with answer sheets, willful violation of norms, manipulation of seating, creating fake websites, and conducting fake examinations.
Call Letters
Call letters for Preliminary and Main/Single examinations and interviews will be available for download from the official IBPS website www.ibps.in. No hard copies will be sent. No requests for change of date/venue will be entertained.
